This one was a tuffie… It’s still not quite where I want it, but it’s close for now…. shot w/ a 30D and a 300mm lens. I forgot to take a snapshot of the lighting scenerio… I used side light with a speedo strobe shot through milky plexi-glass and played a few black and white cards here and there for the reflections.

Bottoms Up!
September 22, 2008
This shot was for a self promo assignment in my commercial class. Other than cleaning up the mess, the preparation and set up was the most challenging part of this shoot. I used a cannon 5D, ISO 100, with a 28-135mm lens. My exposure was 1/100 @ f/5. I used one mono light and small reflector cards above and below the bottle. I also used one large fill card about 4 ft. away (to the right) perpendicular to the bottle to throw a little light back on the scene without causing unwanted reflections in the glass.

More Speed Please!
September 17, 2008
For our latest commercial assignment… We were to photograph a “lifestyles illustration” around the home computer. I shot this with a cannon 30D at 1/15 sec @ f/8. ISO was 100 and I used a 24-70mm lens. To light this scene, I used 2 JTL mono lights inside and a third outside. One at 5:30 to the camera position on 1/2 power, and the other at 9:00 on 1/4 power. The outdoor mono was on full power and placed to shine in through the window. (It was almost dark outside when I began shooting)
Abstraction

Sorry ya’ll, but my commercial projects are still in progress at the moment! So here’s a little abstract stuff I’ve been playing with… hope you like it! The top photo was taken at night at Belews Creek with a cannon 20D/ 24-70mm lens stopped down, and a few post process photoshop filters applied… The bottom image was taken with a cannon 30D and a lens baby…
